About the position

Parsons is seeking Mechanical Engineering Interns to support HVAC, plumbing, industrial piping, and industrial ventilation for federal projects. This internship provides a comprehensive understanding of the engineering design process and the role of Mechanical Engineers in the industry, with a focus on personal and professional growth through mentorship and collaboration with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Support HVAC, plumbing, industrial piping, and industrial ventilation projects.
• Perform Revit design for mechanical systems.
• Conduct engineering calculations and analyses, including thermal and fluid mechanics.
• Research and create engineering reports.
• Participate in the 4D Internship Program, interacting with interns of varying disciplines and senior management.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's (3rd year or above) or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection.
• US Citizenship.
• Major GPA greater than 3.25/4.00.
• Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) experience (i.e. SolidWorks) or Revit experience.
• Deep knowledge of heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
• Familiarity with energy modeling, technician/assistant roles, or extensive lab coursework.
