The HVAC Mechanical Project Engineer at Western Allied Mechanical plays a crucial role in project delivery, ensuring professionalism and integrity throughout the estimating, design, and construction phases. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with field superintendents and estimating to provide labor breakdown phasing to facilitate labor tracking
• Participate in the evolution of publishing Construction Schedules- Update schedule on a weekly basis
• Assist in the commodity, equipment, and subcontractor submittal process
• Assist in the procurement of required equipment and subcontractors for the project
• Survey, update and publish labor tracking and installation productivity to field on weekly basis
• Assist and participate in weekly construction team meetings and create '4-week' look ahead production goals
• Participate in monthly project update with estimate to complete forecast and margin gain and fade to Operations Manager
• Participate in job site client relations
• Compile and transmit all obligated and necessary closeout documents to client
• Other tasks and duties as assigned

Requirements

• 0-5 years of experience as a project engineer
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Understanding of mechanical systems and a curiosity to learn new skills, especially with design build projects and life sciences
• Able to learn and utilize construction software platforms
• Outstanding organizational skills and able to manage time appropriately to stay on top of tasks and deadlines
• Critical thinker and strong problem-solving skills
• Able to be a team player, but also work independently
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
