About the position

As an entry-level HVAC/R Technician, you will assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units. Under the guidance of senior technicians, you will learn the fundamentals of diagnosing issues, making minor repairs, and ensuring that all work complies with safety and industry standards. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork, thermostats, filters, wiring, and piping.
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, such as cleaning filters, checking fluid levels, and inspecting components.
  • Support in diagnosing issues and troubleshooting common HVAC problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
  • Replace or repair worn-out components like motors, filters, belts, and compressors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both on-site and in the company vehicle.
  • Learn and follow all safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Attend training sessions and complete certifications as required to advance skills.
  • Other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred Education: Completion of a formal HVAC/R training program.
  • Minimum Experience: 1-3 years of HVAC/R. Familiarity with basic HVAC diagnostic equipment and basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. Knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Preferred Experience: 3+ years of HVAC/R.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Universal EPA, State Journeyman preferred.
