About the position

As a HVAC Service Sales Development Representative at Johnson Controls, you will play a crucial role in promoting and selling HVAC Service Agreement Offerings. This position operates under general direction and is responsible for building and managing long-term customer relationships with assigned accounts. You will be tasked with promoting the Johnson Controls value proposition to building owners and end users by providing tailored business and technical solutions. Your primary goal will be to cultivate and manage these relationships while seeking out, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities. In this role, you will sell Johnson Controls offerings with minimal supervision, persuasively and confidently engaging with building owners. You will focus on improving existing and new facilities to help building owners achieve their business objectives. This includes selling, renewing, and expanding renewable service agreements, including multi-year agreements, to both new and existing customers. Building strong partnerships with decision-makers will be essential to drive the sale of Johnson Controls offerings. You will proactively address customers' operational and environmental objectives, needs, and requirements, recommending solutions that link customer objectives to total value solutions and competitive advantages. Differentiating Johnson Controls services and products from competitors will require creativity, ingenuity, and innovation in your sales approach. Additionally, you will respond promptly to customer requests, including quotes for repairs, replacements, and planned service agreements. A key aspect of your development will involve establishing a mentoring relationship with a Senior Account Executive within the branch to enhance your productivity as a professional sales representative.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the sale of Johnson Controls HVAC Service Agreement Offerings.
  • Promote the Johnson Controls value proposition to building owners and end users.
  • Build and manage long-term customer relationships with assigned accounts.
  • Position renewable service agreements as a foundation of managed account relationships.
  • Execute the sales process to cultivate and manage long-term relationships.
  • Seek out, qualify, and close new sales opportunities.
  • Sell Johnson Controls offerings persuasively and confidently to building owners.
  • Focus on improving existing and new facilities to help building owners achieve business objectives.
  • Sell, renew, and expand renewable service agreements to both new and existing customers.
  • Build partnering relationships with decision-makers to drive sales.
  • Proactively address customer's operational and environmental objectives and needs.
  • Recommend solutions that link customer objectives to total value solutions.
  • Differentiate Johnson Controls services and products from competitors.
  • Respond promptly to customer requests including quotes for repairs and service agreements.
  • Establish a mentee relationship with a Senior Account Executive to enhance professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related discipline required.
  • A minimum of one year of successful field sales experience in HVAC, Construction, Building Systems, or related industry.
