About the position

As a HVAC Service Sales Development Representative at Johnson Controls International, you will play a crucial role in promoting and selling HVAC Service Agreement Offerings. Under general direction, your primary responsibility will be to engage with building owners and end users, effectively communicating the value proposition of Johnson Controls. This position requires you to build and manage long-term customer relationships with assigned accounts, positioning renewable service agreements as a foundational element of these partnerships. You will execute the sales process to cultivate and manage these relationships while actively seeking out, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities. In this role, you will be expected to sell Johnson Controls offerings with minimal supervision, demonstrating persuasive, persistent, and confident sales techniques. Your focus will be on improving existing and new facilities, enabling building owners to achieve their business objectives. You will be responsible for selling, renewing, and expanding renewable service agreements, including multi-year agreements, to both new and existing customers. Building strong partnerships with decision-makers is essential, as you will need to proactively address their operational and environmental objectives, needs, and requirements. You will differentiate Johnson Controls services and products from competitors by applying creativity, ingenuity, and innovation in your sales approach. Responding promptly to customer requests, including quotes for repairs, replacements, and planned service agreements, will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will establish a mentorship relationship with a Senior Account Executive within the branch to enhance your professional development as a salesperson, ultimately aiming to increase your productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Sell Johnson Controls HVAC Service Agreement Offerings to building owners and end users.
  • Build and manage long-term customer relationships with assigned accounts.
  • Position renewable service agreements as a foundation of managed account relationships.
  • Execute the sales process to cultivate and manage long-term relationships.
  • Seek out, qualify, and close new sales opportunities.
  • Proactively address customer's operational and environmental objectives, needs, and requirements.
  • Recommend solutions that link customer objectives to total value solutions and competitive advantages.
  • Differentiate Johnson Controls services and products from competitors using creativity and innovation.
  • Respond promptly to customer requests, including quotes for repairs and service agreements.
  • Establish a mentorship relationship with a Senior Account Executive to enhance professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related discipline required.
  • A minimum of one year of successful field sales experience in HVAC, Construction, Building Systems, or related industry.
