About the position

Lane Valente Industries is seeking a dedicated HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As a leading international construction and facility maintenance company, we pride ourselves on our strong in-house group of field technicians who service top U.S. corporations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and satisfaction. The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. In this position, you will utilize a variety of hand tools and follow blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair HVAC units. You will be expected to identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at the customer's location, performing preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as requested. Preparation for on-site installations and repairs will involve examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering necessary materials, and coordinating on-site work as needed. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and inspecting vehicles, keeping records of service, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance service. You will document your work meticulously, completing paperwork for each job and maintaining organized files. As a representative of our company, you will serve as a direct contact for customers, providing technical support and ensuring their needs are met. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends is necessary, as well as regular travel requirements, including some overnight travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Uses a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units
• Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer's location
• Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers
• Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work as necessary
• Inspects vehicles by checking vehicle condition and cleanliness
• Maintains vehicles by keeping records of service, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance service
• Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear and notifying customer and/or Operations Manager of findings
• Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files
• Represents company by serving as a direct customer contact
• Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need
• Records parts, material, labor, subs and other cost data per assignment and returns unused resources
• Turns in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner
• Keeps current on all products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair
• Reads and interprets product specifications
• Provides technical support to customers
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary
• Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel, as needed

Requirements

• Experience in HVAC service and repair
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues effectively
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
