About the position

The HVAC Technician role at Trane Technologies involves providing primary service and maintenance for HVAC systems in a commercial environment. The technician will be responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems across various sectors including healthcare, education, and manufacturing. This position emphasizes customer satisfaction, safety, and the use of advanced technology and tools to ensure efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems in a commercial environment.
• Coordinating with team leaders and customers to understand requirements for on-site installations and repairs.
• Using software and technology, along with hand-tools, to diagnose and repair HVAC units.
• Maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required, including occasional overnight stays.
• Enforcing safety standards and maintaining accountability of company assets.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, typically with 5+ years of experience in HVAC.
• Technical School or formal training in HVAC preferred.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphones, iPads).
• Valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months with a clean driving record.
• EPA Certification.
