About the position

The HVAC Technician position at The Cigna Group in Grove City, OH, is essential for maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of HVAC systems across facilities. The technician will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with team members and subcontractors to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose/troubleshoot and monitor building automation systems for optimal performance, repairing as needed.
  • Collaborate with BMS technicians to make adjustments/corrections to the BMS as necessary.
  • Assist Chief/Supervisor in managing subcontractors as needed.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair building HVAC/Refrigeration systems to ensure proper operation and comfort.
  • Review assigned work orders in the CMMS system.
  • Estimate time and materials needed for repairs.
  • Maintain inventory and order necessary materials for tasks.
  • Adhere to and maintain the preventive maintenance program for building equipment and systems.
  • Perform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance.
  • Complete maintenance and repair records as required.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
  • Handle internal calls/tickets/needs from the site operations team.
  • Foster good working relationships and demonstrate good communication skills.
  • Follow Safety/OSHA Guidelines and advance troubleshoot complex controls/systems.
  • Help mentor and train team members.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or a combination of education and/or equivalent experience.
  • Universal CFC certification required.
  • 5+ years of HVAC/Refrigeration experience.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents and mechanical drawings.
  • Complete OSHA 10 within 6 months after date of hire.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF).
  • Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
