About the position

The HVAC Technician at Gonzaga University plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the university's HVAC/R systems across various facilities, including dormitories, food service areas, and academic buildings. Responsibilities

• Plan and perform maintenance and repair on HVAC/R equipment according to schedules.
• Maintain a detailed knowledge of the mechanical systems on campus.
• Operate and repair gas-fired boilers, air-conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
• Use testing equipment to check and analyze mechanical systems.
• Implement planned preventive activities to ensure the longevity of operating equipment.
• Complete work orders including job sheets and estimates.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and surrounding areas.
• Procure necessary parts and equipment for maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Mechanics I gas license required.
• Electrical license/Refrigeration license required.
• 5-7 years of experience in building maintenance and repair techniques.
