About the position

Ocean Key Resort and Spa, a prestigious 4 diamond award-winning resort located in the vibrant downtown Key West, FL, is seeking a full-time HVAC Technician. This role is essential for maintaining the comfort and functionality of our resort's heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various HVAC equipment, ensuring that our guests enjoy a pleasant and comfortable environment during their stay. Our resort features 100 guest rooms, two restaurants, a tranquil spa, a picturesque pool and lounge, and a fitness center, all of which require reliable HVAC systems to operate efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary certifications and skills to handle a variety of HVAC tasks, contributing to the overall guest experience and operational excellence of the resort. Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment.
  • Ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and effectively throughout the resort.
  • Respond to service calls and troubleshoot HVAC issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Requirements

  • Certification in HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Proven experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to HVAC work.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient HVAC systems and practices.
  • Customer service skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
