About the position

The HVAC Service Technician role involves servicing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on various types of commercial restaurant refrigeration and HVAC equipment. This position offers the opportunity to advance to an Operations Lead Technician role, emphasizing customer service and technical expertise in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on all types of commercial restaurant refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Assist junior mechanics with field problems.
• Measure airflow from air conditioning units, exhaust fans, and make-up air units to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Repair rooftop commercial A/C units, split systems, central A/C systems, and electrical and gas-fired heaters.
• Record readings from meters and gauges during service calls.
• Interface with customers to explain reports and resolve any issues that arise during inspections.

Requirements

• Strong background in HVAC service and repair.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with a decent driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with commercial refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic controls.
