About the position

The Inside Sales Engineer position at Vertiv aims to develop future key contributors to enhance revenue, market share, brand reputation, and company culture. This role involves significant training and mentoring, with a focus on sales support and marketing efforts to achieve measurable goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform sales support to consistently meet overall area sales goals.
• Develop proposals for acceptance testing and short form quotations, follow-up on proposals.
• Perform data mining on past projects to generate new business opportunities.
• Participate in joint sales calls with the sales and/or operations team to existing major accounts.
• Participate in joint site visits to gain deeper knowledge of the equipment.
• Become familiar and proficient in the use of all tools necessary for effective job performance.
• Ensure proposal pricing is accurate and technically correct.
• Perform marketing support to promote the Company's image throughout the industry.
• Follow up on all marketing leads and convert them into opportunities, relationships, and orders.
• Assist outside Sales Engineers in implementing the marketing plan.
• Prepare monthly sales reports for the Region.
• Engage in public relations to promote sales.
• Actively participate in trade shows and professional societies.

Requirements

• Graduate engineer (BSEE/BSME) with no experience, or a graduate of electrical technical school with one year of similar work experience.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and some overnight travel to cover sales territory.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in sales support or inside sales roles.
• Familiarity with electrical equipment and industry standards.
