About the position

The Inside Sales Engineer position in Baltimore is designed to train and develop future key contributors within the organization, focusing on enhancing revenue, market share, brand reputation, and company culture. The role involves significant engagement in training, mentoring, and utilizing tools to achieve sales goals, with measurable objectives monitored regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of inside sales and marketing efforts for the area Service Center.
  • Perform sales support to consistently meet overall area sales goals.
  • Develop proposals for acceptance testing and short form quotations, and follow up on proposals.
  • Perform data mining on past projects to generate new business opportunities.
  • Participate in joint sales calls with the sales and/or operations team to existing major accounts.
  • Participate in joint site visits to gain deeper knowledge of the equipment.
  • Become familiar and proficient in the use of all tools necessary for effective job performance.
  • Ensure proposal pricing is accurate and technically correct.
  • Perform marketing support to promote the Company's image throughout the industry.
  • Follow up on all marketing leads and convert them into opportunities, relationships, and orders.
  • Assist outside Sales Engineers in implementing the marketing plan.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports for the Region.
  • Engage in public relations to promote sales.
  • Participate actively in trade shows and professional societies.

Requirements

  • Graduate engineer (BSEE/BSME) with no experience, or a graduate of electrical technical school with one year of similar work experience.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and some overnight travel to cover the sales territory.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, talk, and hear regularly.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
