About the position

The hybrid accountant position is a temporary role focused on managing the financial health of an organization. The accountant will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain records, and comply with accounting regulations. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and assisting in audits to support strategic financial decisions. The position requires working in the office 1-2 days a week and is expected to last for 6-12 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) and management reports
• Maintain the general ledger by recording day-to-day financial transactions
• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
• Manage accounts payable, including verifying invoices, processing payments, and reconciling vendor accounts
• Handle accounts receivable by generating invoices, monitoring collections, and following up on outstanding payments
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records
• Monitor cash flow to ensure the availability of funds for operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• 3 years of experience in accounting
• 5 years of experience in reconciliations
• 5 years of experience in GAAP
• 5 years of experience in consolidations
• 5 years of experience in general ledger management
• 5 years of experience in analytical thinking
