About the position

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a mid-level Financial Analyst to join its Revenue Management Section. This role involves performing revenue transactions, processing deposits, conducting fund reconciliations, and initiating refund requests for overpayments. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills to resolve financial issues effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform revenue transactions on behalf of the agency.
  • Create and process deposits in the Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS) by reviewing financial information from the bank.
  • Perform weekly fund reconciliations.
  • Initiate refund requests for overpayments.

Requirements

  • 30 months of experience or training in accounting and/or finance, including intermediate experience in spreadsheet software.
  • Completion of an undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field; 6 months of experience or training in accounting and/or finance, including intermediate experience in spreadsheet software.
  • 12 months of experience as a Financial Associate or equivalent qualifications.
