About the position

Actalent is seeking a full-time Hardware Electrical Engineer to join our team, specifically to support a client in the aerospace sector located near Norwich, NY. This position requires a strong background in electrical design, particularly in reading schematics and troubleshooting printed circuit boards (PCBs) during the manufacturing process. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and functionality of electrical designs, contributing to the overall success of the engineering projects undertaken by our client. In this role, the Hardware Electrical Engineer will be responsible for providing electrical design expertise, which includes creating and analyzing schematics and PCB designs. The engineer will also be tasked with resolving any design and manufacturing issues that arise during the system integration of PCBs. This hands-on position will involve collaborating closely with technical teams, taking direction from Design and Project Leads, and actively participating in testing and integration activities. The engineer will review testing results to identify any potential design or manufacturing build issues, ensuring that all products meet the required specifications and standards. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a balance between remote work and on-site responsibilities. Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical design expertise (schematic, and PCB)
  • Resolve design and manufacturing issues encountered during system integration of PCBs
  • Perform and analyze schematics and PCB designs as needed to support design and manufacturing integration
  • Participate in resolving design issues, integration and test, and reporting activities
  • Take direction from Design and Project Leads
  • Provide hands-on support to the technical teams through review of schematics and PCB designs
  • Review testing and integration results for indications of design or manufacturing build issues
