About the position

As our Legal Assistant in the Wage & Hour Class Action department, you will have the opportunity to assist our Paralegals and Attorneys in achieving the largest possible settlements and verdicts for our clients. This role is crucial in ensuring that our legal team operates efficiently and effectively, allowing us to provide the best possible service to our clients. You will be responsible for managing court deadlines, preparing documents for filing, and communicating with clients in a courteous and effective manner. Additionally, you will assist with pre-trial preparation, which includes drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits. Your ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner will be essential to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Calendar and manage court deadlines.
  • Prepare documents for filing.
  • Communicate with clients in an effective and courteous manner.
  • Assist with pre-trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits.
  • Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or extensive relevant paralegal experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in wage and hour law.
  • Knowledge of filing procedures, including e-filing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a huge plus.
  • Type at least 40 WPM.

Nice-to-haves

  • Spanish fluency is a plus.
