About the position
As the Vice President of Product at our Automotive SaaS software company, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision, strategy, and execution of our product portfolio. This hybrid remote position requires candidates to be local to the South Los Angeles County area, as you will need to be in the office at least two days per week. Your primary responsibility will be to drive innovation and ensure that our product offerings align with our overarching business goals. You will be tasked with creating and communicating an abstracted model of the automotive industry, identifying innovations from other sectors, and applying these insights to differentiate our roadmap from that of our key competitors. In this strategic leadership role, you will leverage your expertise in product strategy and management to guide a team of 12-13 professionals. You will be responsible for establishing our product design process and philosophy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and mentoring your team to achieve excellence. Your strong understanding of the automotive industry, combined with your passion for software engineering and process improvement, will be essential in building competitive differentiation in our offerings. You will also be responsible for performance measurement and optimization, ensuring that our products not only meet but exceed customer expectations. Stakeholder management will be a critical aspect of your role, as you will need to maintain strong relationships with customers and OEMs, which will require extensive travel (25-50%). Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing SaaS Product organizations within the automotive or technology sector.
- Strong understanding of the automotive industry and its key players.
- Demonstrated expertise in product strategy and product management.
- Experience in process improvement and software engineering.
