About the position

The RPA Automation Engineer (Software Development Specialist 3) position at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services involves designing, developing, and implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions using UiPath. The role also includes creating Virtual Assistants and Chatbots with Natural Language Processing capabilities, utilizing Generative AI, AI, and Machine Learning technologies. The engineer will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with business personnel and IT staff to analyze processes, identify automation opportunities, and ensure the integration of automation applications with existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Robotic Process Automation solutions using UiPath.
• Create Virtual Assistants and Chatbots with Natural Language Processing capabilities.
• Analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Create detailed software design documents and specifications for automation applications.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and IT staff to provide technical guidance.
• Ensure automation applications integrate securely with existing systems and meet quality requirements.
• Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, documentation, and deployment tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Requirements

• Completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems and 36 months of relevant work experience, or
• Completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems and 42 months of relevant work experience, or
• 60 months of relevant work experience in systems analysis and program development, including 12 months in the primary technology specified.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microsoft Azure Bot Framework and Amazon AWS Services.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology.
• Familiarity with Generative AI and Machine Learning technologies.
