About the position

The Senior Software Architect will play a crucial role in architecting, designing, and developing scalable architecture systems for Java-based applications. This position involves providing architectural oversight for the development of new or enhanced software products, ensuring quality and consistency across the software architecture, and offering technical guidance to development teams. The architect will also define system, technical, and application architectures, recommend actions for cost-effectiveness, and stay updated on business initiatives related to infrastructure and development architecture.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop scalable architecture systems for Java-based applications.
• Provide architectural and big picture oversight for the development of new or enhanced software products.
• Ensure quality and consistency of the software architecture across the system.
• Provide day-to-day technical guidance to development teams.
• Define system, technical, and application architectures for major areas of development.
• Recommend courses of action to maintain cost-effectiveness and competitiveness.
• Research and implement best practices frameworks and capability models.
• Stay up to date on business initiatives and objectives related to infrastructure and development architecture.
• Research new technology and development tools to remain abreast of current and emerging technology.

Requirements

• 4 year applicable degree
• 10+ years of experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based software and applications, contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle.
