About the position

The Hybrid Substance Use Counselor position at Groups Recover Together is a full-time role focused on providing outpatient treatment for opioid addiction. Counselors play a crucial role in leading group therapy sessions and collaborating with a cross-functional care team to support members in their recovery journey. The position emphasizes a holistic clinical model that integrates counseling, medication, and community support, allowing counselors to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals seeking recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the treatment team and coordinate decisions about the member's treatment.
  • Manage a schedule and caseload that supports the needs of the office and region.
  • Collaborate with other team members regarding the clinical service model.
  • Lead 2-3 one-hour group therapy sessions that build recovery skills and foster community.
  • Document members' progress using outcome measures and client feedback.
  • Engage in community relations activities and promote Groups' mission.
  • Attend and participate in community meetings related to substance abuse and addiction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Active IN behavioral health license or certification (e.g., CADAC II - V, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC, LSW, LMHC-A, LMFT-A, LAC, LCAC-A).
  • Minimum two years of experience leading group therapy in a substance use disorder (SUD) setting.
  • High comfort level with technology including EMR, Telehealth software, and Google products.
  • Compassion, collaboration, and commitment to quality care.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in mental health, social work, or human services.
  • Background in substance use disorder treatment or therapy.
  • Experience with medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
