About the position

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking HydroBlaster/Field Technicians to join their safety-conscious team in Reserve, LA. This entry-level position involves working at various customer locations and executing HPC-Industrial jobs across all service lines safely and properly. The HydroBlaster/Field Technician will complete single task jobs under the supervision of knowledgeable personnel at the client's site, adhering to client and business requirements as well as company policies, practices, and procedures. This role is ideal for transitioning military personnel looking to leverage their skills and training as they return to civilian life. The work environment is industrial, encompassing settings such as refineries, petro-chemical plants, utilities, and pulp and paper mills. The HydroBlaster/Field Technician serves as a representative of HPC-Industrial, fostering continuous working relationships with clients and customers. The position offers tools for learning and advancement as the technician gains experience. Candidates must be able to pass a DISA drug screen/hair follicle test and possess a valid TWIC card. The work schedule varies, and the company emphasizes health and safety as its number one priority, ensuring a positive and safe work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Hands-on operation of manual and automated hydroblasting equipment.
  • Operation of special equipment, such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps.
  • Operate equipment by energizing the pumping equipment and/or any specialized Hydroblasting and/or Chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks and cutting equipment being used on the job.
  • May be required to examine surface cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer expectations.
  • Conduct routine and required maintenance on the unit and all peripherals, including industrial vacuuming equipment and the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Perform routine maintenance on company equipment being used on the job.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training, and essential experience gained on other jobs.
  • Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
  • Valid driver license and other requirements of company's driving policy required when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business.
  • Valid TWIC required.
  • OSHA certification may be required for this job.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with hydroblasting equipment is a plus.
