About the position

The Hydrogeology Project Manager at Dudek will lead groundwater resource development and management projects, focusing on groundwater production well exploration, design, and construction management. This role involves technical leadership, project management, and client interaction, ensuring effective communication and project delivery. The position is hybrid, based out of one of Dudek's California offices, and emphasizes collaboration, sustainability, and innovation in environmental services and water resources.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and communicate hydrologic and geologic data for groundwater resource assessments and management.
  • Develop new well designs for groundwater production and monitoring.
  • Lead hydrogeologic field investigations, including drilling and well construction oversight.
  • Manage projects from proposal development to delivery, including budget and schedule management.
  • Prepare clear documents and presentations to communicate project goals and results to clients and stakeholders.
  • Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geochemistry, or related field.
  • 8 years of experience in a consulting or regulatory environment with hydrogeologic data analysis.
  • Practical experience in groundwater supply planning and water use permitting.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, with a record of publications or presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
  • Valid driver's license and active personal automobile liability insurance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification or ability to work towards it.
  • Technical background in numerical groundwater modeling and knowledge of software like MODFLOW, Python, R, PEST, and ArcGIS.
  • Experience in water resource data visualization.
  • Knowledge of water rights and groundwater adjudications in California, Nevada, Arizona, or Washington.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
