About the position

The Hyperion Application Engineer role at Amazon Finance Technology (FinTech) involves designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions for large-scale data ingestion and extraction within financial systems. The engineer will work with a team to enhance the Hyperion environment, ensuring efficient data processing and integration across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain solutions for large-scale data ingestion and extraction.
• Support and optimize Hyperion data and metadata integrations using SQL and scripting languages.
• Collaborate with Amazon engineering and business teams to plan and execute data ingestion from General Ledger into Hyperion Financial Management applications.
• Extract post-consolidated financials into Data Lakes.
• Continuously innovate and improve the service-oriented platform.

Requirements

• Experience with Oracle Hyperion applications including HFM, FDMEE, ODI, Essbase, and DRM.
• Proficiency in ODI and FDMEE.
• Basic knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
• Experience in SQL and scripting languages such as Shell, Batch, or Python.
• Familiarity with AWS services like AWS Glue, Lambda, pipelines, CDK, step functions, Athena, SQS/SNS, S3, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with DRM and Essbase is highly preferred.
