About The Position

The I & C Technician - Outage position at Energy Northwest involves supporting the biennial refueling outage at the Columbia Generating Station. This temporary role focuses on the installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of instrumentation related to the operation of large nuclear generation plants, ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of critical systems during the outage period.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in instrumentation and controls.
  • At least two years of related technical training.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in instrumentation and controls in an industrial and/or commercial laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform surveillance tests and calibration of critical and non-critical instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair process instrumentation used to monitor and control flow, radiation, temperature, pressure, and power level.
  • Assist in initial system lineup, calibration, pre-operational testing, and startup testing of installed systems.
  • Assist assigned supervision in the preparation of tooling and spare parts requirements, and establish a preventive maintenance program.
  • Maintain auxiliary instruments and instrumentation systems.
