About the position

The iCare Applications Analyst is responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, and implementation of Epic applications within the Riverside Health System. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of clinical information systems and the ability to integrate various applications to meet clinical and business needs. The analyst will work closely with other team members and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and provide ongoing support, including 24/7 on-call assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, validate, and implement Epic applications.
  • Guide and coordinate other analysts across multiple applications throughout the project life cycle.
  • Research, resolve, and respond to inquiries during deployment and ongoing support phases.
  • Provide technical and clinical/operational expertise in application design and implementation.
  • Communicate with Training & Support and reporting areas regarding upgrades and changes.
  • Participate in formal stakeholder meetings and vendor workgroups.
  • Perform quality assurance and integrated testing on all builds.
  • Document testing results and assist in training development.
  • Optimize the design of Epic applications to meet end-user needs.
  • Maintain awareness of Epic's best practices and adoption rates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Clinical Information Systems, Informatics, Information Technology, Sciences, or a Clinical Role.
  • 3 years of hands-on Epic systems build experience with appropriate Epic training/certifications in at least one application area.
  • 3 years of progressive health care experience, preferably in an Integrated Delivery Network in clinical care or operations.
  • Involvement in 1 or more Integrated workgroups (Epic defined formal and informal/ad-hoc).
  • Competency in at least 1 application area.
