About the position

The I&D Event Manager for External Partnerships at Apple is responsible for the comprehensive planning, execution, and delivery of inclusion and diversity events. This role requires a strategic approach to event management, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering engagement through innovative event strategies. The manager will collaborate with various teams and external partners to ensure successful event delivery, focusing on project management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement of event experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive event strategy aligned with business goals and brand positioning.
  • Collaborate with key partners to identify event objectives, target audiences, and success metrics.
  • Create event roadmaps, budgets, timelines, and detailed project plans for all events.
  • Lead all aspects of event planning and execution, including concept development, venue selection, vendor management, logistics, and on-site coordination.
  • Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to timelines.
  • Lead post-event follow-ups, including debriefs, data collection, and performance analysis to improve future events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Negotiate contracts with venues, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring the best value for budget.
  • Coordinate with appropriate teams to ensure brand consistency across all event touch points.
  • Develop and handle event budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and within scope.
  • Allocate resources effectively to optimize event outcomes while meeting financial targets.
  • Identify potential risks associated with event planning and execution, creating mitigation strategies to ensure event success.
  • Continuously seek out ways to innovate and enhance the attendee experience.
  • Track and analyze event performance metrics to assess ROI and advise future event strategies.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in event project management, with a proven track record of delivering successful corporate events.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events concurrently.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, dedicated, highly motivated, and able to learn quickly.
