As the Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical Technician (I & E Tech), you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining all instrumentation and electrical equipment at the facility, which includes both low and high voltage systems. Your role will encompass corrective and preventive maintenance on process control instrumentation, control valves, control systems, motors, motor control centers, breakers, and any other electrical, instrumentation, or controls components utilized in electric generating plants. This position is located in the Gila Bend area, and candidates must be willing to commute to this location. In this role, you will troubleshoot and perform corrective actions on process control instrumentation and control valves, calibrate electronic and pneumatic pressure transmitters and controllers, and repair or replace thermocouple or RTD temperature elements. You will also be responsible for installing stainless steel instrumentation tubing and performing the installation, repair, replacement, and testing of new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, panels, switches, breakers, and controls located in and near installation buildings and structures. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and perform corrective actions on electrical motors and plant electrical equipment and switchgear. Your responsibilities will include completing material requisitions accurately, writing detailed accounts of work performed on work orders, and maintaining good housekeeping practices, including the upkeep of company vehicles. You will be expected to perform all tasks assigned by the I & E Supervisor and adhere to safety policies while executing your duties. The position requires a good attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to work well within a team. You will need to possess knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures, and be able to perform and review preventive maintenance tasks associated with all electrical equipment. The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single line drawings, loop drawings, and P&ID drawings is essential, as is the ability to operate a computer for accessing and updating work orders.
