About the position

The iLearning HotSpot Facilitator at IDEA Rise College Prep is responsible for instructing students in grades 1-7 with the goal of enhancing their mathematics achievement. This role involves creating an engaging learning environment, tracking student progress, and conducting data analysis to support students who are struggling. The facilitator is expected to embody IDEA's core values and work collaboratively with students, families, and staff to ensure that every student masters the necessary academic and social skills for college success. This position is grant-funded and may not guarantee ongoing employment.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate students to participate in learning activities using various math software.
  • Continuously improve execution of student procedures to maximize learning time.
  • Frequently communicate with students regarding their progress toward goals and current data.
  • Monitor students' usage of math notebooks.
  • Create a positive learning environment in line with IDEA culture.
  • Coach students on all computer programs and ensure educational math software meets their needs.
  • Maintain all computer equipment and report problems promptly to campus tech.
  • Interpret and manage online student data generated by educational math software.
  • Use data to track students' progress toward goals.
  • Identify and solve problems that impede student learning.
  • Collaborate with Math teachers and school administrators about student progress.
  • Participate in staff development opportunities as a member of the IDEA team.

Requirements

  • At least 48 college hours or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience working with children in a classroom or volunteer setting.
  • Ability to interpret, manage, and utilize multiple sets of data efficiently.
  • Strong computer and technology skills, including troubleshooting abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of curricula and instructional practices.
  • Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to various situations in the school environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with educational software and technology integration.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
