About the position

Kforce's client, one of the world's largest financial institutions, is seeking an iOS/Android Developer to join their Mobile Scrum Team in New York City (NY) or Plano (TX). This full-time position involves executing software solutions, designing and developing applications, and troubleshooting technical issues. The role emphasizes creating secure, high-quality production code and maintaining algorithms that integrate with various systems, while also contributing to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets for continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
  • Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
  • Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on Software Engineering Concepts and 3+ years of applied experience in iOS/Android.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Previous experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable, Black duck, Prisma, and Fortify is beneficial.
  • Proficient in coding in Java and Kotlin.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Having both iOS & Android Development skills.
