About the position

Kforce's client, one of the world's largest financial institutions, is seeking an iOS &/or Android Developer to join their Mobile Scrum Team in New York City (NY) or Plano (TX). This full-time position involves executing software solutions, designing and developing applications, and troubleshooting technical issues. The role emphasizes creating secure, high-quality production code and maintaining algorithms that operate synchronously with relevant systems. The developer will also be responsible for producing architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met, and contributing to the continuous improvement of software applications and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting for iOS/Android applications.
  • Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to improve software applications and systems.
  • Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
  • Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in Software Engineering Concepts and 3+ years of applied experience in iOS/Android development.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Previous experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable, Black Duck, Prisma, and Fortify is beneficial.
  • Proficient in coding in Java and Kotlin.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
