About the position

This short-term contract role is focused on providing technical leadership and expertise in mobile app development, specifically for Progressive Web Apps (PWA) on iOS devices. The position requires a strong understanding of the latest technologies and the ability to mentor junior developers while enhancing the software development process. The role involves working closely with a large oil and gas client, ensuring that applications are designed effectively to meet business needs and technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Apply skills to implement leading-edge technologies and enhance the Technical Software Development process.
• Mentor less senior developers and provide Technical Excellence Leadership.
• Understand the business or function for which the application is designed.
• Direct and monitor the work of other programming personnel across large-scale development projects.
• Involve in design and milestone reviews.
• Consult for the most complex design projects and operate unsupervised.
• Conceive, propose, and sell new ideas and products in the engineering organization.
• Guide the implementation of new ideas to a final product.
• Provide technical direction in area of specialty on major products.
• Work on designs that span several groups or affect hardware decisions.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar discipline.
• 7 years of related experience in software development or 11 years of software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of PWA mobile app development on iPhone with iOS version 17.7 and above.
• Proficiency in Angular 16 and above.
• Ability to identify and provide solutions for issues related to PWA apps on iPhone 12 and 13.

Nice-to-haves

• Completion of a master's degree in Computer Science or similar discipline is preferred.
