About the position

The iOS Developer position at ASSA ABLOY is a junior to mid-level role focused on developing mobile applications, particularly for iOS devices. The role involves working closely with both onshore and offshore teams to create and test applications that integrate with proprietary Software Development Kits (SDKs). This position is integral to the development of new product lines and requires a strong emphasis on back-end programming and BLE communication.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with onshore and offshore software, firmware, and hardware development teams.
• Develop integration and test mobile applications against newly developed proprietary Software Development Kits (SDKs).
• Develop new iOS applications and features for various product lines.
• Verify the end-to-end capabilities of our product lines.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field of study.
• 3 years of mobile development work experience specifically for iOS devices with an emphasis on BLE communication using Swift and/or Objective C.
• Proficiency with Jenkins, Maven, GitHub/GitLab or similar build and development tools.

Nice-to-haves

• iOS application development certification from Google or similar
• Familiarity with iOS mobile development and/or multi-platform applications (i.e. Flutter)
• Experience working in a Scrum team
• Experience with RESTful SDKs/APIs
• Experience with diverse Agile development techniques: Time Box Sprints, User Stories construct and estimation, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery, Automated Testing
• Experience with SQL databases and cloud platforms
• Track record of continued and recent education in newer technologies, including training, certifications, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc.
