Your responsibilities will span the entire product life cycle, from requirements gathering, to design/development, to deployment, QA support, and operations support. You will collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements, conduct analysis to determine integration needs, and design new software while supporting applications under development and customizing current applications. You will also develop software update processes for existing applications, assist in the roll-out of software releases, and oversee the researching, writing, and editing of documentation and technical requirements. This includes evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports. Keeping current with technological developments within the industry is crucial, as is monitoring and evaluating competitive applications and products. You will provide technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance regarding practices, procedures, and techniques. Additionally, you will serve as a guide and mentor for junior level Software Development Engineers, assist in tracking and evaluating performance metrics, and ensure the team delivers software on time, to specification, and within budget. Your role will also involve working with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specifications and technical requirements, displaying expertise in knowledge of SDLC methodologies, and presenting and defending architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences.
