About the position

GridSource is seeking I&R Copper Technicians to join their team in Petersburg, IN. This role involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of POTS and DSL services, as well as maintaining and repairing outside copper plant facilities. Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of POTS & DSL (HSI high-speed internet).
• Maintain and repair outside copper plant facilities within assigned geographic service areas.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations.
• Assist other technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requested.
• Convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company's products and services to customers.
• Engage in direct customer-facing work.
• Demonstrate accountability and dependability by being on time and on load when scheduled and serving on call as needed.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve key service measures.
• Practice active listening to take input from customers and co-workers to problem solve and improve skills.
• Assume all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Technician must have their own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack.
• Technician must have their own tools to perform the job.
• 28' ladders needed for aerial work.
• Android smart phones are required.
• Windows 10 Laptop is necessary.
• Test Meters are required.
• Technician must have lace-up boots with a defined 1/2-inch heel.
• Other equipment may be required by local management.
• Must be available to work flexible hours.
• Weekend work may be required.
• Must be able to pass Background and Drug screening.
• Must have a good driving record.
• Must be able to lift 75+ lbs. continuously.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.
