About the position

The iSeries Systems Admin will be responsible for managing daily backup recovery and media services for a variety of data sets, particularly focusing on financial and transactional data. This role involves ensuring the successful completion of critical system backups, monitoring backup processes, and utilizing Data Domain VTL for managing virtual tapes. The position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates located in Mesa, Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Daily validation of backup recovery and media services for various data sets.
• Monitor the growth of the backup process for resource planning.
• Utilize knowledge of Data Domain VTL to manage virtual tapes.
• Analyze backup processes to address data exposures and modify as necessary.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working with iSeries data backups.
• Knowledge of BRMS, Netbackup, and Data Domain VTL.
• Ability to validate processes to ensure successful completion of system backups.
• Basic knowledge of networking, cabling, and switches.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience working with financial or transactional data.
