About the position

HAZA Foods is seeking an IT Technician to support office and restaurant staff of multiple QSR restaurants in the Houston area. The ideal candidate will have experience providing support for software, hardware, and networking related issues in a help desk/technical support environment, along with superior customer service and troubleshooting skills. Additionally, the candidate should possess Point-of-Sale (POS) technical support experience or have a background in the restaurant industry with hands-on, "user-level" POS experience. This position will be based out of our Sugarland office. The HAZA Group of restaurants is one of the largest privately-owned restaurant franchisee companies in the United States, operating Wendy's and Taco Bell concepts in 15 states and over 540+ locations, and continues to grow rapidly. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of technical support/help desk support experience, excellent written and oral customer service skills, and a demonstrated customer-focused, service-first approach. Experience working in the restaurant industry and/or providing POS technical support for restaurants is essential, with Aloha POS experience being a major plus. The candidate must be technically savvy with a strong overall technical aptitude and superior customer service skills, as well as strong skills in troubleshooting, support, analysis, and resolution. The role requires experience supporting external end-users with software, hardware, and networking related issues, along with a working knowledge of networking topologies and various computer operating systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs is also necessary. The ideal candidate will be innovative, driven, motivated, results-oriented, and energetic, with complex problem-solving skills and attention to detail. They must be able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively, possess excellent time management and organization skills, and perform well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment. Reliability, punctuality, and a stable work history are crucial, as is the ability to work various shifts/schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays on an on-call basis. A valid driver's license and access to private transportation are required, along with the willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for software, hardware, and networking issues for office and restaurant staff.
  • Assist with Point-of-Sale (POS) technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and support for external end-users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Document and track support requests and resolutions in the help desk system.
  • Work collaboratively with other IT staff to improve support processes and systems.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of technical support/help desk support experience required.
  • Excellent written and oral customer service skills with a demonstrated customer-focused approach required.
  • Experience working in the restaurant industry and/or providing POS technical support for restaurants.
  • Aloha POS experience is a major plus.
