About the position

Linder Industrial Machinery Company is seeking an I.T. Project Coordinator to join our team in Plant City, Florida. As one of the nation's premier heavy equipment dealers, we pride ourselves on providing quality new, used, and rental equipment across multiple states. The I.T. Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring that our technological infrastructure supports our operations effectively. This position involves imaging new equipment, deploying software and hardware solutions, and providing technical support to our employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and technical support, particularly in a Windows environment. In this role, you will be responsible for researching and implementing new software and hardware to streamline equipment rollouts. You will coordinate the purchase and rollout of new replacement equipment, ensuring that all technical support is prompt and accurate, thereby maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Your duties will include performing desk-side support for Windows 7/10 workstations, troubleshooting MS Office 365 and Outlook, and configuring printers and network file shares. You will also assist employees with computer/user moves, adds, and changes, and manage trouble ticket queues to ensure timely resolution of issues. The position requires occasional travel to surrounding areas for day trips, with rare overnight trips. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and a proven track record in diagnosing and troubleshooting various technical issues. This role is essential in maintaining the operational efficiency of our I.T. systems and supporting our employees in their daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Imaging of new equipment and deployment
  • Research and implement new software/hardware to streamline equipment rollouts
  • Coordinate the purchase and rollout of new replacement equipment
  • Provide prompt and accurate technical support, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Perform desk-side Windows 7/10 workstation support in a networked office environment
  • Support MS Office 365 and Outlook configuration and troubleshooting
  • Install and configure software
  • Responsible for printer and network file share configuration and troubleshooting

  • Configuration and troubleshooting
  • Supporting employee iPhone and Android cell phones and associated applications
  • Assist employees on computer/user moves, adds, and changes
  • Responsible for reviewing trouble ticket queues, documenting support and diagnostic activities
  • Escalating problems as required
  • Accurately and effectively resolve and close assigned trouble tickets in accordance with SLA requirements
  • Other tasks as requested by manager

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' prior experience providing customer support for Windows 7/10 and MS Outlook in a networked environment
  • 3 years' prior experience supporting MS Office products (or other shrink-wrap software applications)
  • Experience using a commercial trouble ticketing system (such as TrackIt)
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven record of diagnosing and troubleshooting workstation, application, peripheral, TCP/IP, and/or printer problems
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow documentation procedures for daily tasks
  • Able to lift and carry computers (approximately 50 lbs.), crawl into tight spaces (such as under desks), and climb ladders as needed to install computers
  • Bachelor's degree in related technical field or equivalent experience (minimum five years)
