About the position

Leidos has a career opening for an Information Assurance (IA) / Cybersecurity Analyst onsite at Ft Bliss. The primary focus of this role is to support the implementation and administration of information security policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure the protection of systems, applications, and data on both tactical and non-tactical networks. The analyst will provide professional security services for IA/Cybersecurity in accordance with US Government (USG), Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Army (DA), and US Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) policies and guidelines. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure compliance with information security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, which includes assistance with internal auditing, reporting, and technical reviews. In addition to compliance support, the analyst will provide technical assistance in support of Cybersecurity inspections and Site Assistance Visits (SAV). A significant part of the role involves drafting, reviewing, editing, and recommending guidance for Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Tactics, Techniques, & Procedures (TTP), Plan Of Action and Milestones (POA&M), Army Portfolio Management System (APMS), Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS), and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). This position is critical in maintaining the integrity and security of information systems within the organization, ensuring that all operations align with established security protocols and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and administration of information security policies, procedures, and technologies.
  • Provide professional security services for IA/Cybersecurity in accordance with USG, DoD, DA, and FORSCOM policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with information security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with internal auditing, reporting, and technical reviews.
  • Provide technical assistance in support of Cybersecurity inspections and Site Assistance Visits (SAV).
  • Draft, review, edit, and recommend guidance for SOP, TTP, POA&M, APMS, ATCTS, and FISMA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of prior relevant experience; additional related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Must meet DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II or higher (Security+ certification or higher).
  • 1+ years of experience in IA/Cybersecurity.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in performing IT audits, security planning, and policy development.
  • Experience with USG, DoD, and DA regulations.
  • Understanding of related information technology (e.g. firewalls, VPN, virtualization, DLP, etc.) and physical security assets.
  • Knowledge of domain structures, user authentication, data encryption, access audits and end-user security best practices.
