About the position

The Inventory Controller at ABM Industries is responsible for managing inventory at Dulles International Airport. This role involves verifying product quality, counting inventory, and operating material handling equipment. The position requires effective communication, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling physical demands such as lifting and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and comply with company policies and management expectations.
• Complete daily safety and material handling equipment inspections.
• Meet productivity and inventory accuracy goals related to unloading and managing customer materials.
• Count, weigh, and determine the actual quantity of inventory being handled.
• Receive, put away, and relocate inventory as needed.
• Provide timely and accurate communication to site management.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks to maintain standards.
• Maintain required records and reports to ensure inventory control and security.
• Assist in physical inventories and cycle counting as required.
• Assist with training new associates.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Must submit to and pass a drug screening.
• Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal, including successful completion of a background check and ten-year work history.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous aviation, aircraft appearance or cleaning experience preferred.
