About the position

The IAM Application Security Architect is responsible for enhancing the security posture of the organization by planning and delivering security solutions, ensuring compliance with security standards, and collaborating with various teams to address security requirements. This role involves evaluating business strategies, conducting risk assessments, and providing technical guidance to secure enterprise information effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance security team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions and providing technical guidance.
  • Secure enterprise information by determining security requirements and preparing security standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Evaluate business strategies and requirements to determine security needs and conduct system security and vulnerability analyses.
  • Ensure systems and architectures align with the organization's cybersecurity architecture guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Application Development to improve security for new and existing systems.
  • Act as the security subject matter expert in designated projects and business initiatives.
  • Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend enhancements.
  • Review business processes from a security perspective to identify threats, risks, and solutions.
  • Continuously assess the information security program using Cybersecurity Frameworks to identify and remediate gaps.
  • Ensure systems and applications meet regulatory and compliance requirements with compensating controls.
  • Develop and implement test scripts to verify security systems.
  • Enhance the organization's reputation by exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Create key Information Security assets for the security practice.
  • Consult on information security designs in infrastructure and application project teams.
  • Work on improvements for security services and develop new tools and supporting assets.
  • Research emerging technologies to support security enhancement efforts.
  • Perform project leadership tasks on select security projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or 10 years related experience in an IT discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in Identity and Access Management.
  • 8+ years' experience in IT Security with strong Azure Cloud Security experience.
  • Strong Identity and Access Management and Application Security experience.
  • Experience with standard cybersecurity tools and knowledge of security frameworks and controls (e.g., NIST, CIS, PCI, GLBA, NYDFS).
  • Experience with Security as Code and Configuration as Code.
  • Experience running projects in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience working with compliance and regulatory program requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills with clarity and accuracy.
  • Strong self-directed work habits and excellent teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects.

  • CISSP, CISA, CEH, CSSLP, CHFI, CCSP, GCIH, GCIA, PMP, ITIL v3 certification.
