About the position

The IAM LDAP Developer/Programmer Analyst is responsible for planning, developing, testing, and documenting computer programs, particularly in the realm of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and LDAP administration. This role involves evaluating user requests for new or modified programs, consulting with users to clarify objectives, and formulating development plans. The position requires advanced computer systems analysis skills and the ability to lead and direct the work of others, with a focus on automating processes and improving existing systems. The role is remote but requires candidates to be local to Austin, TX for equipment pickup.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, test, and document computer programs related to IAM and LDAP.
• Evaluate user requests for new or modified programs and determine feasibility, cost, and time required.
• Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
• Formulate plans outlining steps required to develop programs using structured analysis and design or object-oriented development.
• Perform advanced computer systems analysis work and coordinate planning, budgeting, and analysis of user requirements.
• Work with business partners to automate processing or improve existing systems.
• Implement management and automation of processing or improvement of existing systems.
• Perform business use case analysis and recommend solutions with Okta.
• Conduct hands-on technical design, configuration, development, integrations, and troubleshooting of IAM/Okta solutions.
• Automate Okta solution deployments and user onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Document data flow and deployment architecture diagrams for Okta integrations.
• Lead and ensure best practices in design, deployment, and operations of IAM solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with Identity and Access Management tools and processes.
• 8+ years of experience with IBM Security Identity Manager (ITIM/ISIM) or similar IAM software.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills to gather and analyze facts and propose solutions.
• Experience with 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Knowledge of IAM and LDAP best practices.
• Experience in designing, configuring, and implementing Okta solutions.
• Familiarity with authentication methods such as SAML, OAuth, and OIDC.
• Experience with onboarding applications into Okta and user life cycle management.
• Experience in integrating applications using Okta Gateway and migrating users between directories.
• Experience in implementing Okta integrations in multi-tenant environments.
• Experience in automating Okta solutions using Jenkins or related technologies.
• Experience in implementing cloud-based solutions with AWS and expertise in authentication and authorization using Okta.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Federated Identity Manager (TFIM/IFIM) or Single Sign-On (ESSO).
• Skills in written and oral communication, including public presentations and technical writing.
• Experience with RSA IAM, Oracle IdM, DatapoJava, JavaScript, or WebSphere.
• Project management skills and ability to establish project goals.
• Strong skills in analyzing complex federal and state legislation related to IAM projects.
• Experience in technologies such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, JSON, Python, SQL, and Linux.
• Experience in integrating Okta with Single Page Applications using JWT and OAuth.
• Experience in configuring Websphere or JBoss for robust authorization using Okta and SailPoint.
• Prior experience with IBM Datapower and related IBM Security products.
• Familiarity with LDAP browsers and tools.
• Hands-on experience with Agile Development Methodologies and CI/CD methodologies.
• Security certifications.
