About the position

The IAM Lead Strategist - SQL Developer at Truist is responsible for developing and maintaining solutions using various technologies, including ASP.NET, C#, HTML, JavaScript, and SSIS. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with business units to gather requirements and propose technology solutions. The strategist will also ensure data security, manage SQL databases, and lead cross-functional teams to drive information security initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain SQL Databases.
  • Develop and maintain database stored procedures, views, and functions that support integration of applications.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Assure security of data from external parties and manage row-level security within the organization.
  • Design and deploy data table structures, reports, and queries.
  • Write and edit scripts based on team direction and feedback.
  • Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of problems and manage the resolution of complex issues.
  • Lead collaboration efforts with internal and external IT service providers and business units in evaluating and gathering technical requirements for business clients' information security initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure program elements reflect CIS requirements.
  • Act as a thought leader and trusted partner enabling business units to leverage capabilities to drive business value.
  • Drive initiatives that improve communication and documentation of potential solutions, impact analysis, benefits/risks, implementation requirements, and recommended approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, technology related field or equivalent education and related training.
  • Excellent ability to express complex multi-disciplinary technical and business concepts in understandable terms.
  • Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity terms, concepts, disciplines, frameworks, best practices, and industry/regulatory requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two/four degree in IS related curriculum or equivalent education and related training.
  • Software development experience using Microsoft tools such as SSIS, SSRS, MS SQL Server.
  • Substantial familiarity with .NET framework, web services, APIs, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, and database design including model-view-controller (MVC).
  • Experience creating web APIs and web pages within the ASP.NET framework.
  • Designs, builds, and maintains C# code for software and applications that run on Windows systems.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript & HTML.
  • Able to write bash scripts.
  • Database Development using MS SQL.
  • Experience in Data Migration from various systems to SQL Server Database.
  • Optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues.
  • Experience using Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Experience using Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools for Visual Studio.
  • Experience with different project development life cycle methodologies such as Waterfall Model, agile/scrum.
