About the position

The Identity & Access Management (IAM) Architect is responsible for leading the design, integration, and management of IAM solutions across Wellstar Health System. This role focuses on ensuring secure access to healthcare systems and sensitive data while aligning IAM strategies with organizational security policies, compliance requirements, and business objectives. The IAM Architect collaborates with multiple teams to integrate Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions, particularly for projects like Epic integration and SailPoint Non-Employee Risk Management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive roadmaps for IAM technologies and strategies.
  • Break down the IAM program into manageable phases with specific timelines and milestones.
  • Lead the integration of IAM solutions with Epic, focusing on EMP and SER modules.
  • Architect and implement IAM solutions using SailPoint for non-employee risk management.
  • Build and refine Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) frameworks.
  • Design Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions that align with security policies and compliance requirements.
  • Develop identity lifecycle management processes including provisioning and de-provisioning.
  • Define and enforce access control policies based on the principle of least privilege.
  • Collaborate with teams to perform security assessments and tool evaluations.
  • Identify potential risks during IAM implementation and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with vendors to obtain proposals and negotiate pricing for IAM solutions.
  • Engage with IT managers and security leaders to gather IAM requirements and ensure alignment with roadmap objectives.
  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, and project managers to deliver successful IAM implementations.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers in secure systems design.
  • Conduct workshops and presentations on IAM best practices.
  • Develop architectural artifacts and prepare technical assessments and documentation.
  • Provide routine reports to senior management on the status of IAM projects and key milestones.
  • Monitor IAM systems for performance, availability, and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery procedures for IAM technologies.
  • Generate reports on IAM system performance and compliance status.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security or Information Technology.
  • Minimum 10 years of collective experience in information technology, information security, and/or information privacy.
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Time management and project management skills.
  • Experience in risk assessment and process design and improvement.
  • Strong audit and compliance focus.
