About the position

The IAM Solution Engineering Director at Freddie Mac is responsible for leading a team of engineers to develop and deliver Identity and Access Management (IAM) products and services. This role focuses on access provisioning, deprovisioning, authentication, identity management, and privileged access management. The director will implement industry best practices, oversee security solutions, and ensure compliance with information security requirements while fostering a high-performing technology team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers to build, enhance, and deliver IAM products and services.
  • Oversee the development of security solutions that comply with information security requirements.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing technology team.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to consult on solutions with appropriate access controls.
  • Manage control design patterns for IAM enterprise control solutions.
  • Drive business outcomes through technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Formulate and manage a business and resource plan for the IAM team.
  • Partner with business and IT customers for product research and vendor interviews.
  • Drive a culture of data-driven decision-making and performance improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with developing and implementing IAM tools and solutions.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience managing information security and/or technology teams.
  • Understanding of IAM technical solutions such as SailPoint, MFA-Ping, and CyberArk.
  • Experience with infrastructure technologies including Cloud, LDAP, SAML, and MFA/SSO.
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices and evolving threats in information security.
  • CISSP, CISM, Cloud Security (CCSP, CCSK), or other relevant certifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with NIST, PCI, or other information security frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues to diverse audiences.
