About the position

As a Banker in the Origination & Advisory team at Deutsche Bank, you will play a crucial role in supporting the execution of live transactions for the Industrials coverage team. This position involves preparing detailed memoranda and presentations, as well as analyzing the key attributes of client companies. You will apply financial, economic, quantitative, and qualitative methods and principles to evaluate and execute acquisitions, financings, and equity raising transactions. Your responsibilities will also include developing and applying advanced financial analyses and models, issuing final reports of client interactions and discussions to senior management, and maintaining ongoing communication with stakeholders. In this role, you will be expected to work closely with senior level management, maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating leadership skills. You will create a positive and effective work environment that fosters open communication, initiative, and a collaborative problem-solving culture. The position requires a strong analytical background, particularly in providing quantitative support for M&A and capital markets transactions, including IPOs, equity follow-ons, SPACs, and various debt offerings in the Industrials sector. The ideal candidate will have a background in sciences or the pharmaceutical sector, along with a Bachelor’s degree (an advanced degree is preferred). You will also need to possess Series 79 and 63 licensing, which is preferred but not mandatory. This position is based in Chicago, with a hybrid working model that allows for flexibility between in-office and remote work. The salary range for this position in New York City is between $110,000 and $275,000, depending on various factors such as experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of live transactions for the Industrials coverage team.
  • Prepare detailed memoranda and presentations.
  • Analyze key attributes of client companies.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience providing quantitative and analytical support for M&A and capital markets transactions in Industrials.
  • Experience supporting senior bankers across all stages of a transaction lifecycle.
  • Background in sciences or pharmaceutical sector is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred).
  • Series 79, 63 licensing preferred.
