About the position

The Account Manager at Myers Industries, Inc. will be responsible for driving organic growth in the Food & Beverage IBC market. This role involves leading strategic sales objectives, fostering long-term relationships with key accounts, and achieving profitable sales growth. The Account Manager will leverage their expertise to deliver customer-centric solutions and collaborate with various teams to innovate and develop new products.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers profitable volume growth
  • Negotiates and administers all pricing and contract negotiations with customers
  • Drives partnered innovation concepts through Buckhorn's New Product Development team
  • Develops and nurtures strong customer contacts and ensures positive relationships
  • Identifies product and market research to protect current market position
  • Translates and quantifies the value proposition for customers
  • Creates customer-specific action plans with key accountabilities
  • Coordinates involvement of company personnel to meet account performance objectives
  • Develops strong relationships across all functions including senior leadership
  • Proactively assesses customer needs and competitive threats
  • Interfaces with other functional department heads for competitive market conditions
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings
  • Supplies advice and assistance to the Sales Manager
  • Ensures brand consistency

Requirements

  • Proficient in navigating Supplier portals
  • Possess strong leadership and managerial skills
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player
  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
  • Intermediate computer skills, experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to analyze data and sales statistics

Nice-to-haves
