The Solution Architect will work closely with Entergy's Enterprise Architect (EA) function and IT Centers of Expertise (COE) to create a fully integrated and effective business solution. As an active thought partner, the architect will collaborate with the EA and the Business Unit Chief Information Officer (BU CIO) to shape technology demand within the business unit. The position will provide support for the Maximo application and its interfacing applications, engaging key business partners including Nuclear, Procurement & Supply Chain, and Accounting. In this role, the architect will assist in creating design guidelines for software and hardware integration, performance, reliability, operating, and security designs. They will support business units in developing project business cases, capturing business capability requirements, functional requirements, and expected service levels to create an actionable business-IT roadmap for Maximo. The architect will also create integration points for new business solutions with legacy systems to meet client requirements. Additionally, they will support BU CIOs in identifying opportunities for emerging technologies that can enable business strategies and provide advisory support regarding the impact of new technologies on existing technical and information system environments. Regular visits to business units will be necessary to assess satisfaction and identify follow-up education opportunities, considering alternate delivery models to meet business needs.
