About the position

The MQ/App Connect Systems Administrator role involves providing administrative support for IBM MQ, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), and Middleware platforms, ensuring their operational health. The position requires strong Linux skills and involves troubleshooting, diagnosing technical issues, and assisting in upgrades and installations of various software components.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for IBM MQ, IBM IIB, and Middleware platforms.
• Ensure platform operational health for IBM MQ and IIB.
• Assist in planning and executing MQ and IIB upgrades.
• Install FixPacks and iFixes as needed.
• Handle Middleware support requests.
• Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 support.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues for resolution.
• Be open to working in areas outside of MQ and IIB.

Requirements

• Experience with IBM MQ v9 and IBM ACE v12.
• Strong Linux skills, including scripting and working on Linux OS.
• Ability to create MQ/IIB resources and monitor/troubleshoot them.
• Strong communication skills for customer engagement with development and Tech Ops support teams.
