About the position
The Questrom School of Business at Boston University is seeking to fill two positions at the associate or full professor level starting in the 2025-26 academic year. The successful candidates will have an outstanding research record and are expected to contribute significantly to the academic expertise in business economics and strategy, enhancing Questrom's reputation. They will join either the Markets, Public Policy, and Law or the Strategy and Innovation Department, focusing on the interactions between business and government, corporate governance, antitrust regulation, innovation policies, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research in business economics and strategy.
- Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Contribute to the establishment of the Ravi K. Mehrotra Institute for Business, Markets, and Society.
- Engage in building academic expertise in relevant areas.
- Demonstrate teaching excellence and integrate research into the curriculum.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in a relevant field.
- Currently hold a tenure-track or tenured faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level.
- Outstanding research record in business economics and strategy.
Nice-to-haves
- Expertise in corporate governance, antitrust regulation, and innovation policies.
- Experience in law and economics or economic history/business history.
